1. IMN Vs FG: Shiites Fix Date To File Case Against Proscription

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), also known as Shiites, will on Thursday (today) file a case challenging its proscription by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration. The latest move by the Shiites group was made known by human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN).

2. Shiites Suspends Protest Over El-Zakzaky’s Detention

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) also known as Shiites Nigeria on Wednesday announced the temporal suspension of its protest. IMN has constantly protested the continued detention of its leader, Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky.

3. Buhari Gazettes Shiites Movement Proscription

President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government has published in its Official Gazette the court order proscribing the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), also known as Shiites. Naija News reports that the gazetting was done on Monday.

4. Buhari Vs El-Zakzaky: Shiites Reveal Foreign Islamic Nation Responsible For Its Proscription

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) also known as Shiites have accused Saudi Arabia of being behind its proscription by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. Naija News reports that the federal government on Tuesday published in its Official Gazette the court order proscribing the IMN.

5. Shiites Vs Police: Injured NYSC Member Narrates Ordeal

Few days after the violent protest by members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, a National Youth Service Corps member, Aliyu Suleiman, one of those attacked during the protest has been discharged from hospital. NYSC revealed this in a statement on its official Facebook page, the Scheme added that it would take responsibility for his bills and medical treatment henceforth.

6. Shiites Vs Police: Court Set To Rule On El-Zakzaky’s Bail

Kaduna State High Court will today (Monday) deliver judgment on the application filed by Ibraheem El-Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), also known as Shiites, seeking bail from detention. Naija News reports that Justice Darius Khobo would rule on El-Zakzaky’s application seeking permission to travel abroad for medical treatment.

7. Proscription: IMN Set To Sue FG, Berates Shiite Group

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) has resolved to sue the federal government over the proscription of its activities. The spokesman of the Movement, Ibrahim Musa confirmed to Vanguard that the movement will be heading to court to challenge its ban.

8. FG Officially Bans IMN Activities Nationwide

The federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari has officially proscribed the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) led by Ibrahim El-Zakzaky. Furthermore, all protests by the IMN group has been banned.
