Security Personnel Attached To National Assembly Leaders Restored
The Department Of State Services (DSS), today have partially returned some of its operatives who were earlier withdrawn from the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
The secret police on Saturday, reportedly withdrew nearly about half of the personal security details attached to the Senate President and the remaining three presiding officers of the National Assembly.
Shortly after the withdrawal was made public however, spokesperson of the service denied any such action, asking members of the public to discard the news.
Premium Times, quoting sources close to the Senate President however reports that over a dozen officers were withdrawn from Mr Saraki’s detail alone, but five of them have now been restored.
It is still unclear whether the personnel withdrawn from Speaker Yakubu Dogara, Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu and Deputy Speaker Yusuf Lasun have been partially or fully restored alongside Mr Saraki’s as at the time of filing this report.
