PDP Begs Oni To Dump SDP And Return To Party

The former Governor of Ekiti State, Segun Oni, has refuted a claim that he is working for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Oni was reacting to a statement by the South West Agenda For Asiwaju (SWAGA) that he is working with former governor Ayodele Fayose to actualize Tinubu’s Presidential ambition.

But in a statement by the spokesman of his Campaign Organisation, Jackson Adebayo, on Friday in Ado-Ekiti, Oni said there was nothing that could make him work for Tinubu or his presidential bid.

The former governor stated the claim that he was supporting Tinubu was a very dishonest statement and a cheap lie, asking his supporters to ignore such a statement.

The former Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate alleged that the footprints of the APC flagbearer were so evident in the last Ekiti Governorship election.

Oni said unlike Osun, his team of lawyers was not granted access to inspect Bimodal Voters Accreditation System, (BVAS) machines used in spite of the Tribunal’s orders on INEC twice.

He said that was apart from other previous electoral robberies and court injustices masterminded against him by the same person in the past years.

Oni warned that people should not overstretch his tolerance, adding that he could imagine whatever could make the issuer of the statement group him (Oni) with Fayose in the business of running such errands.
