Court Strikes Out Six Remaining Charges Against IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu

The treason trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, continues at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Nnamdi Kanu, facing multiple charges, will appear before Justice Binta Nyako.

Recall that during the last sitting, the federal government withdrew its amended charges against Kanu and the court also denied him bail.

The presiding judge, Justice Binta Nyako, had said Kanu must account for his whereabouts for years when he was first given bail but refused to appear in court for trial.

The court disagreed with the defendant’s claim that he fled the nation when troops of the Nigerian Army raided his ancestral home in Abia State.
