LockDown: President Buhari To Address Nigerians By 8pm Today

President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation later today  by 8:00 pm.

The  Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, disclosed this some feew minutes ago via his twitter handle

President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation Monday, April 27, 2020 at 8pm.”Television, radio and other electronic media stations are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast,” the tweet read.

Many Nigerians todayare with high expectations on what decision the president will take with regards to the extension or relaxing the total lockdown.

Naija News Understands that the President had on Sunday met with the Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire and the Director-General of the Nigerian Center for Disease Control, NCDC, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja to get an update on the development in the country.

The move by the President is inline with reports that the dreaded Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic transmission was spreading in communities despite the measures put in place to contain it.
