President Buhari Presents 2020 Budget To National Assembly Today

President Muhammadu Buhari is set to present an appropriation bill of N10.729 trillion for the 2020 fiscal year before a joint session of the National Assembly later today (Tuesday).

It will be recalled that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) had earlier approved the increase in the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) by the National Assembly from N10.002 trillion to N10.729 trillion.

This comes after President Buhari and the leadership of the National Assembly met on Sunday night behind closed doors.

Naija News reports that the budget presentation will be the first time the new leaders of the two chambers of the National Assembly, Ahmad Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila, will host the president in the parliament.
