Naija News understands that the PDP in its petition prayed the tribunal to nullify the election on the ground that Governor AbdulRasaq lacked the academic qualification to contest.
The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Asaba, the Delta state capital has upheld the election of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as the authentic winner of the March 9, 2019 governorship election. Naija News reports that the judgment of the tribunal comes after the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Great Ogboru had in a petition approached the tribunal to challenge the victory of Okowa at the poll.

Naija News reports that the victory of Governor Makinde at the governorship election tribunal comes after Adebayo Adelabu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had filed a petition against Makinde in the March 9 governorship election in the state.
The election of Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has been affirmed by the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal led by Justice Yusuf Halilu. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) “did not only failed but also irredeemably failed to prove” his case against Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress(APC).
