Breaking: EFCC Raids Ambode’s House In Lagos

The residence of the immediate past Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode is presently under siege by the Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Naija News recalls that the agency had earlier secured a court order to freeze three bank accounts containing a total of N9.9bn linked to the immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode

The raid which was confirmed to Newsmen by the spokesman of the anti-graft agency, Tony Orilade.

He said the anti-graft agency had received petitions against the governor, and that it was investigating his administration.

“Yes, we received petitions regarding the governor, and we are investigating,” he said in response to a question from one of the journalists.

When asked if agents of the commission are at the residence of the governor, he said: ” Yes, that is part of the investigation.

Naija News recalls Ambode in response to the investigations had submitted that the accounts under investigation do not personally belong to him. He disclosed that all the accounts are government-owned.
