What Naira Marley Told Marlians After Release, Ruggedman’s Attack

Embattled Nigerian rapper, Naira Marley on Friday took to his Instagram handle to appreciate his fans, Marlians for their support throughout his ordeal.

Naija News understands that the Nigerian artiste is sending his appreciation after he was finally released from custody since he was arrested on his birthday, which is Friday, May 10.

The rapper was earlier arrested alongside his music counterpart, Zlatan Ibile and three others by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Although they were all later released by the Nigeria’s anti-graft agency while Naira Marley was held back and further charged to court on the 13th of May after the EFCC claimed to have identified some allegedly incriminating materials on his phone.

His bail hearing was earlier scheduled for the 30th of May and was granted bail of N2m by the court while the case reportedly continues in October.

Naira Marley regained freedom on Friday after being cleared by the anti-graft agency while the rapper who is grateful and in his mood of appreciation, wasted no time in thanking his fans.

On his Instagram handle feed, story, the Nigerian Rapper wrote; “Fresh home…Thanks for the support Marlians….I love y’all”

His appreciation also comes after Naija News also reported that a Nigerian ace rapper, Ruggedman was attacked by fans of Naira Marley and Marlians in London; a development that had since been trailed by mixed reactions.

The attack against Ruggedman is also coming in weeks after he openly scolded Naira Marley for his endorsement of internet fraud, popularly known as ‘Yahoo Yahoo.’
