IBB Expresses Confidence In Buhari’s Ability

Former Nigerian military head of state, Ibrahim Babangida, has expressed optimism and confidence that President Muhammadu Buhari would fulfill his promise to solve the security challenges plaguing the country.

General Babangida, however, added that for the President to be successful, he has to be decisive in his actions.

IBB made his submission during an interview with Channels Television in Minna, the Niger State capital.

In his words, “He (Buhari) made a promise and I believe he will fulfill it.”

“He said that the security situation will be dealt with very decisively; this is the message he sent and I trust he will do that.”

The former military head of state also urged Nigerians to ensure the lessons learnt during the month of Ramadan remain even beyond the period of fasting.

“I sincerely pray for the people of this country and urge them to live in peace with one another to avoid anything that will bring a problem to the people and to the country,” IBB said.

Naija News recalls Babangida had congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his victory at the February 23 Presidential election.

He also called on Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last election to work with President Buhari for the development of the country.
