President Muhammadu Buhari has on Sunday, returned to Nigeria from his ‘private trip’ to the United Kingdom, Naija News authoritatively reports.

The arrival of the President was confirmed in a statement signed by Mr. Femi Adesina, his special adviser on media and publicity and sent to our newsroom by the President’s media team on Sunday.

“President Muhammadu Buhari Sunday returned to Abuja, after a 10-day private visit to the United Kingdom,” the statement reads in part.

Recall this platform earlier reported that the President departed London, UK around 12:20pm earlier today.

President Buhari on April 25, left the shores of Nigeria for a 10-day ‘private visit’ to the UK, generating a lot of reactions particularly from the opposition on the justification and timing of his trip.

The statement from the presidency also slammed all those who insinuated that Buhari’s visit to the United Kingdom will be extended due to medical reasons as recommended by his doctors.
