Security Reinforced In Birnin Gwari After Serial Attacks In The Area

Following the attack in Birnin Gwari, which resulted in the death of up to 45 people, the Nigerian Police has announced the deployment of three additional police mobile units to reinforce security in the area.

Although the command’s spokesman Mukhtar Aliyu, said no arrest has been made on the initial attacks, efforts were on to track the killers and bring them to justice.

He said that the policemen were detailed to comb the area for the killers and other criminals.

Recall that Naija News earlier reported the death of 45 people in the Birnin Gwari area of Kaduna state, following an attack by gun carrying criminals who attacked the village and set it on fire.

The Kaduna state government had also, in a statement, said the federal government had approved the deployment of an Army battalion which would be permanently deployed in the area to check the killings.

The statement added that the government has directed the State Emergency Management Agency to immediately provide relief materials to the affected community.
