The head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Department, Ali Abedzadeh, has denied the claims that the Tehran shot down the Boeing 737 Ukraine International Airlines which crashed in Iran.

Recall that the Ukrainian international airlines flight PS752 bound for Kyiv crashed minutes after takeoff from the Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran.

Few hours after Iran attacked US bases in Iraq, the plane crashed with 176 passengers and crew on board losing their lives to the crash.

The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, while speaking on the plane crash had claimed that information obtained revealed that the plane was shot down by an Iranian missile shortly after takeoff in Tehran.

The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, on his own account, stated that the Ukrainian airline was shot down by Iranian STA missile.

Abedzadeh while reacting to the claims of the Prime Ministers said, “As I said, based on the law, there is full coordination between our air defence and our civil [aviation] system. Our civil aviation personnel and air defence personnel sit side by side, so it is absolutely impossible for such a thing [shooting down a passenger plane] to happen,” according to Al Jazeera.

Recall that the Iranian government on Wednesday noted that it will not release the two black boxes recovered from the crashed Ukrainian airliner.

A video also emerged online where the Ukrainian airliner carrying 176 passengers was hit by a missile before crashing at Iran’s airport in Tehran.
