1. Bauchi APC Guber Aspirant, Yakubu Lame Dies

Former Minister of Police Affairs and 2019 governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi state, northern Nigeria, Dr Ibrahim Yakubu Lame has passed away. Naija News learned that Lame died at a private hospital in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Saturday night, May 25.

2. Zamfara: INEC Reveals When, Where Certificates Of Return Will Be Issued To New Winners

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), says Zamfara state governor-elect, deputy governor-elect, Senators-elect and members of the House of Representatives-elect will their Certificates of Return on Monday, May 27. Naija News understands that they will receive the certificates at the Commission’s Electoral Institute in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital by 2 pm.

3. Tribunal Dismisses Another PDP’s Petition Against APC Victory

Plateau Local Government Elections Tribunal has on Saturday, dismissed the petition filed before it by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), challenging the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Langtang-North Local Government Area of the state. Recall that the PDP chairmanship candidate of the local government, Ubandoma Joshua-Laven, had challenged the declaration of his APC’s counterpart, Kparnim Nanloh-Amos, by Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC), as the winner of Oct. 10, 2018, LG polls in the state.

4. Adamawa State Governor-elect Threatens To Deal With Political Class

Adamawa Governor-elect, Alhaji Ahmadu Fintiri has expressed his readiness to step on toes to address the pressing and challenging issues in the state. Naija News understands that the Adamawa state Governor-elect vowed that he wouldn’t mind offending some section of people in the state just to bring the injustices against the people of the state to an end.

5. Governor Yari, APC Accept Supreme Court Verdict

The Zamfara state Governor, Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, and the loyalists of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have accepted the verdict of the Supreme Court nullifying the elections of the state APC candidates, conducted in 2019. Naija News reports that the Zamfara state governor while addressing a gathering of the APC supporters at the Government House in Gusau, stated that he and the APC loyalists have accepted defeat.
