IGP Egbetokun Orders Posting Of New Deputy Inspector-General Of Police

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the posting of DIG Mohammed Adamu Dankwara as the new Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Department of Finance and Administration.

Naija News reports that the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, made this known in a statement issued to journalists on Friday.

Hundeyin stated that the posting is in line with the IGP’s commitment to repositioning the Force for greater efficiency and effectiveness in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities.

According to Hundeyin, the IGP Egbetokun, while congratulating the senior officer on his new appointment, expressed confidence in his capacity to utilise his wealth of experience in strengthening the administrative functions of the Nigeria Police Force.

The statement added, “DIG Dankwara replaces DIG Sahabo Abubakar Yahaya who recently retired from the Force after over three decades of distinguished and meritorious service.

“Prior to his elevation, DIG Dankwara served as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism, and dedication to duty.

“The Nigeria Police Force remains resolute in its mission to ensure the safety and security of all citizens through strategic leadership placements and performance excellence.”
