Videos: Popular Lagos Socialite Attempts Suicide At Third Mainland Bridge

Popular Lagos State socialite and skincare vendor, Farida, on Thursday, attempted to commit suicide at Third mainland bridge.

Naija News reports that the socialite, who is widely known as King Phreedah, has been in the news lately over reports of her crashed marriage.

The reports making the rounds online alleged that Frida’s husband had packed out of their matrimonial home to meet a side chick he was dating before their marriage.

Amidst the reports of the crisis in her marriage, videos shared by Goldmyn TV show the moment some people were captured, stopping Frida from committing suicide on the Third mainland bridge.

One Killed As Police Engage Bandits In Katsina Community

In other news, one person was reportedly killed when operatives of the Nigerian Police Force in Katsina State engaged some fleeing bandits in gunfire.

The Katsina police spokesman, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, confirmed this in a statement issued on Thursday, noting that the bandits had earlier attacked Korogo, a village in the Daddara District in Jibia Local Government Area of the state and rustled some sheep.

Sadiq explained that the command was informed of the development, and the DPO, Jibia, immediately mobilized a team of operatives to the scene and engaged the bandits in a fierce gun duel.

He said the police killed one of the assailants and recovered sixty (60) rustled sheep alongside an AK-47 rifle.
