Eddie Hearn, the promoter of Nigerian-British heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua, has told his client that he needs to beat Tyson Fury, Dillian Whyte, and Deontay Wilder to become a boxing Hall of Famer.

Anthony Joshua and Eddie Hearn have been working together since the British-Nigeria boxer won a gold medal for England at the 2012 Olympics.

Under Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing agency, Anthony Joshua became a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion.

In contrast to Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, who have never lost in their professional careers, Joshua has endured three losses—two to the Ukrainian and one by surprise knockout against Andy Ruiz Jr.

In the rematch, he regained his pride against Ruiz but failed to beat Usyk as he was left with no major belt for over two years.

Even though Joshua has enjoyed huge successes in the heavyweight category, most boxing enthusiasts still do not see him as one of the best heavyweight boxers of this generation.

Hence, the 33-year-old Joshua still has to prove he is worthy to be seen as one of the best in the game by beating Dillian Whyte on August 12 and then going on to beat Deontay Wilder in December if the purported boxing match takes place as planned.

If he scales through the aforementioned heavyweight boxers, his next big fight could be the long-awaited Joshua Vs Tyson Fury bout which could happen in 2024, all things being equal.

“If you beat Dillian, Wilder, and Fury, you’re in the Hall of Fame. No pressure”, Eddie Hearn was quoted as saying.
