French Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint Germain has submitted a second offer to Napoli to sign Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen this summer.

After Napoli reportedly turned down PSG’s first offer for Victor Osimhen in June worth €100 million, the French reigning champions have made a second offer worth €120 million.

PSG’s new offer is reportedly worth higher than all the offers that have been submitted for the signature of the 24-year-old Nigerian striker.

However, the Italian Serie A champions are most likely going to turn down the offer because it is way below the asking price of the club’s president Aurelio de Laurentiis.

De Laurentiis is reportedly asking for nothing less than £160 to £180 million for Osimhen, a price tag top clubs across Europe are not willing to pay. The Italian businessman had even said the only club that can afford Osimhen’s price tag is PSG who seems to be bidding below the expected price.

Osimhen and Napoli are now negotiating a contract extension, according to Calciomercato. The club wants to insert a release clause that wouldn’t go into effect until the summer of 2024.

Despite the impasse in the negotiations, Napoli is still committed to offering their star player a fair contract.

As for this summer transfer window, De Laurentiis informed the representatives of Osimhen that he would only consider offers of around €200 million.

Bayern Munich have shown a lot of interest in Osimhen, but negotiations have broken down because of Napoli’s outrageous pricing demands. The biggest challenge Napoli now face comes from PSG, who chose the Nigerian international as the ideal backup for World Cup champion Kylian Mbappé.
