Former Super Eagles Attacker, Julius Aghahowa, has encouraged Morocco to maintain their composure against Spain.

The Moroccans secured their round 16 spot after they defeated the Canadians on Thursday.

Morocco won two games and drew one in their first three matches to finish first in Group F with seven points.

This has, however, drawn much applause from African sports fans across the globe.

As the Atlas Lions face Spain in the 2022 FIFA World Cup match currently taking place in Qatar, the ex-Super Eagles star has revealed ways Walid Regragui can defeat the Spaniards.

The team, under the captaincy of Romain Saïss and La Furia Roja will compete at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan on Tuesday in an effort to advance to the quarterfinals.

Aghahowa, who travelled with the Super Eagles to the 2002 World Cup, which South Korea and Japan co-hosted, emphasized that the Atlas Lions should not lose their composure in the face of the previous world champions.

While speaking to Brila FM, he said “The performances of the African teams at the World Cup has shown that our game on the continent has improved,”

“As for Morocco, I feel that they should take each game one step at a time. It will be a very difficult game for them in the round of 16. They need to be calm, don’t panic,” he added.
