Osun 2022: We Will Win In Court - Oyetola, APC Drag Adeleke, PDP Before Tribunal

As the Osun State gubernatorial election results continue to trickle in, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke has been declared the winner in Atakumosa West Local Government Area.

Adeleke polled a total of 7,750 votes ahead of incumbent Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Gboyega Oyetola, who secured 6601 votes in the election.

According to Dailytrust, results announced at the LGA Collation Centre, Atakumosa West has a total of 36,470 population while 15,171 were accredited for the election.

One of the party agents claimed there was  violence at Ward 7, unit 11, which resulted in a broken ballot box and inconclusive election at the Unit.

Naija News earlier reported that results posted on the portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) show that the former lawmaker is leading Oyetola with over 10,000 votes.

The result on the portal of the electoral body shows that Adeleke has polled 67,892 votes while Oyetola has 56,915 votes.

There are a total of 1,955,657 registered voters for the election.
