Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has described the recent kidnapping of a catholic priest in Kaduna State as another tragedy.

The politician who took to his micro-blogging page, Twitter on Monday to react said the issue of insecurity must be tackled.

It will be recalled as earlier reported by Naija News that a Catholic parish located in Chawai, in the Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State was on Sunday night invaded by terrorists.

The terrorists during the attack abducted the parish priest, Rev Fr Joseph Shekari, and killed a yet-to-be-identified cook working in the parish house during the attack.

The unidentified cook was killed when the terrorists invaded the parish house around 11:30 pm on Sunday.

Reacting to the development, Sani wrote on Twitter: “Yesterday’s attacks in Kauru Lg in Southern Kaduna and the kidnapping of Catholic Rev father Shekari is yet another tragedy. My thoughts and prayers for the Reverend.”

In other news, the Ogun State Police Command, on Monday, stated that it is working on arresting the social media user who posted the ritual video on Facebook from where the four teenagers learnt the money ritual.

The spokesperson for the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a chat with Punch.

Oyeyemi stated that the command is working on apprehending the people that are directly or indirectly involved in the killing of Sofiat Kehinde.
