Arsenal Moves To Sign Morata To Replace Aubameyang

North London football club, Arsenal has reportedly made a move to sign Juventus striker, Alvaro Morata to Emirates.

With former club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Eddie Nketiah on the verge of leaving, the English Premier League club would be left with only Alexandre Lacazette as the only senior striker with the club, Naija News understands.

AS reports on Monday hinted that Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta’s assistant, Miguel Molina, has interacted with Morata on the phone to convince him about a move to the Emirates.

Naija News understands that Arsenal has failed to complete the signing of Dusan Vlahovic, who has now joined Juventus, while Alexander Isak looks set to stay at Real Sociedad until the summer.

Arsenal would have to make a smart move before the deadline hours are exhausted to make a good signing to replace its outgoing players.

Morata is Arsenal’s top priority signing at the moment.

Naija News understands that Morata currently plays as a striker for Juventus, on loan from La Liga club Atlético Madrid.

The Spaniard had been linked with a loan switch to Barcelona, but Atleti have made it clear they will not strengthen a rival and will only loan Morata to a foreign club.

Meanwhile, twenty-four-year-old Barcelona forward, Ousmane Dembele is in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a permanent transfer.

La Liga side, Barcelona have requested £20m to sell off Dembele, whose contract with the club will end by Summer.

According to Skysports, Dembele has reached a verbal agreement with PSG on Sunday, despite interest from Premier League clubs.

Barcelona on Thursday urged Dembele to find another club if he does not want to extend his deal with the club which comes with a wage reduction.
