Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has met with the governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, at the Government House on Sunday.

In a post via his Twitter handle on Monday, Fani-Kayode said he visited the Southeast state to discuss the way forward for Nigeria with the governor.

The former minister described Uguwanyi as one of the most hardworking, focused, and brilliant governors in the country.

“I left Ibadan & my friend & brother Gov. Seyi Makinde on Saturday morning after a wonderful 7-day visit. I am now in the East & I have spent the last two days in the great city of Enugu visiting with my friend & brother Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the great Gburugburu.

“He is one of the most hardworking, focused & brilliant Governors in the country & we spent a lot of time discussing the way forward for our country.

“Enugu is my favourite town in the East. As always I feel like staying for longer! God bless the people, Governor & state of Enugu,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Bello, on Sunday received the 53 passengers abducted by bandits from the bus belonging to the Niger State Transport Authority (NSTA) in Kundu village, along Tegina- Minna road in the State.

Bello while speaking on the development noted that the abductees were released due to a series of dialogue and consultations.

The travellers were handed over to the Niger State Government on Sunday after one week in their kidnapper’s den.

They arrived at the government house at exactly 11:15 pm yesterday, in four 18-seater buses.

The Niger State Governor noted that before releasing the victims to their families, they would have to undergo medical checkups and evaluations.
