Popular musician and songwriter, Tiwa Savage, has threatened to sue the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) and Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo.

Naija News reports that a ‘doctored’ video was shared on the Instagram and Twitter page of Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, which portrays Tiwa Savage advertising an event ‘Twelve Days Of Glory’ which was billed to take place in the church.

Reacting in a video, Tiwa Savage threatened to sue the church and the pastor for using her image to advertise the church programme without her consent.

According to the 49-99 singer, she was approached by the church to fraudulently testify to the glory of God, only for her to find out the video has been edited to advertise the church program.

“It has been brought to my attention that there is a viral video which includes me advertising an upcoming COZA event,” Tiwa Savage said.

“I want to state that I have nothing to do with the church and certainly do not endorse their events.

“I’m extremely disappointed that I was fraudulently approached to simply comment on how good God has been to me and it has been wrongly edited to use my image to create an advert to deceived people.

“COZA this is wrong!! I will be taking action if this not immediately retracted.”

Naija News reports that popular singer Davido was also alleged to have endorsed the COZA programme.

However, Davido released a statement on Wednesday to deny any involvement with the church.

He also asked COZA to take down the video or he would drag the church and Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo to court.
