The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole has finally spoken on the crises rocking the Edo State House of Assembly.
Naija News learnt that Oshiomole slammed the speaker of the assembly over his statement that he is primarily responsible for the crises at assembly.
Speaking through his media aide, Oshiomhole, revealed that: “The allegation is a figment of their imagination. Ordinarily, I will not want to be drawn into frivolous allegations such as this and sundry others emanating from Frank Okiye, one of the members-elect of the Edo State House of Assembly.
“But, let me state that the allegation is untrue. As members of the National Assembly, it is their duty to intervene on issues such as the Gestapo manner the Edo Assembly was inaugurated. This will not be the first time the National Assembly has so intervened, and I am sure the lawmakers also have provisions in their budget for carrying out such duties.
Meanwhile, The Senate ad-hoc committee investigating the ongoing crisis has revealed that the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole has promised to meet with them and look at modalities to solve the crises.
The chairman of the committee and Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Aliyu Abdullahi, who made this known to journalists revealed that the Senate is determined to ensure that we do justice to this matter to save democracy.
Speaking further Abdullahi, said: We don’t want to start looking for who is right or wrong. All we want to do is bring out what should be.”
