Ovie Omo-Agege Emerges Deputy Senate President Of The 9th National Assembly

Omo-Agege Defeats Ekweremadu

Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has emerged the Deputy Senate President of the 9th National Assembly.

He defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ike Ekweremadu during the election which took place on the floor of the Senate Chamber on Tuesday.

Omo-Agege polled a total of 68 votes to defeat his challenger, Ekweremadu of the PDP who polled 37 votes of the 105 votes cast.

Naija News reports one Senator abstained and there was one invalid vote.
