Onnoghen: CCT To Deliver Judgement On False Asset Declaration
The Code of Conduct Tribunal will on Thursday (today), deliver judgment on the case of false declaration of assets filed against the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen.
The Tribunal will also deliver judgement on two applications filed by Onnoghen who tendered his resignation two weeks. One of the applications is challenging the jurisdiction of the tribunal to hear the case. The other application is asking the CCT chairman to disqualify himself from further presiding over the case for his alleged bias.
How Lai Mohammed Was Deceived Into Paying N2.5b FG Broadcasting Fund
Lai Mohammed, Nigeria’s information minister, has admitted he did not do due diligence before signing off on a controversial N2.5 billion payment to a private digital broadcast signal distributor.
Naija News learnt that Mr Mohammed told the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission (ICPC) that he only approved the payment based on the recommendation of the director-general of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) in May 2017, according to those familiar with the investigation.

All cabinet members have been asked to submit comprehensive performance reports in their respective parastatals. In a statement today, President Muhammadu Buhari asked the cabinet members to submit the “status reports on policies, programmes and projects” under their watch by April 24.
Garba Shehu, Buhari’s spokesman, said the directive was part of the measures to wind down the current administration.

President Buhari in his counter-accusation, dared Abubakar to produce his “educational certificates, indicating the schools attended by him, with dates,” before the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal.
