1. Election Result: Atiku Holds Meeting With Obasanjo In Abeokuta

Atiku Abubakar, the 2019 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Thursday visited ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun state. Naija News reports the meeting between the two leaders held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

2. Buhari Won’t Interfere In Choosing Of Senate President, Presidency Declares

The Presidency on Friday said President Muhammadu Buhari will not interfere in the emergence of the new leadership of the ninth National Assembly. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate) Ita Enang, disclosed this while addressing parliamentary reporters in Abuja.

3. Lagos State Government Begins Demolition Of Defective Buildings

The Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) has commenced the demolition of several defective houses located in the Lagos Island. The agency started its operation with the demolition of a three-storey building located in Epetedo area of the state early on Friday, March 15, 2019, and added that about 180 affected houses will also be demolished.

4. Kidnappers Releases Gov. Aminu Masari’s Mother-In-Law After 8 Days In Captivity

Katsina Police Command on Friday confirmed the release of Hajiya Hauwa Yusuf the mother-in-law to the Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari. The mother of Binta, the wife of Katsina state Governor was released by the kidnappers after eight days in captivity.

5. Many Feared Dead As Another Building Collapses

A three-storey uncompleted building in the Bode area of Ibadan, capital of Oyo state, on Friday collapsed leaving many of its occupants feared dead. Naija News recalls that several primary school pupils were feared dead on Wednesday, March 13 after a three-storeyed school building collapsed in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city.

6. Magnus Abe Describes Amaechi As A Mole In President Buhari’s Administration

The Senator representing the Rivers South-east Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Magnus Ngei Abe has called on the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and his supporters in Rivers state to stop abusing President Muhammadu Buhari over the predicament of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

The governor of Rivers State, south-south Nigeria, Nyesom Wike, says no other party can win elections in the state except his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party. Yusuf Buhari, President Muhammadu Buhari‘s son, has completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mandatory service year. Although Yusuf’s state of service and place of primary assignment (PPA) was never disclosed, Naija News understands that he bagged his Master’s Degree in the United Kingdom in July 2016.

A storm of reactions by Nigerians has greeted a photo showing the moment Yusuf Buhari, the son of Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, received a certificate indicating the completion of his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
