Gov. Ortom Asks Dan-Ali To Apologies For Alleged Careless Statement Made

Following the the face-off between Governor Samuel Ortom and the leader of the party in the state, Senator George Akume, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State has said that it is not in haste to make a decision concerning the fate of Governor Samuel Ortom or any erring member of the party.

Mr. Peterhot Apeh, the party’s Director of Publicity in the state, who made this known during an interview with SUNDAY PUNCH on Friday, explained that the state chapter of the party was waiting for the national headquarters to arrive at a decision before any action could be taken against the governor.

Ortom had earlier cried out that he had be shown the way out of the party by the attitude of some of the party leaders.

But Apeh said the decision of the NWC was supreme and would determine whether Ortom would leave the party or not.

We hope that the two warriors (Akume and Ortom) will resolve their differences in good time. However, the Benue APC is ready to take its decision based on the NWC’s final position on the issue.

“As a party, we embrace these two individuals as members of the party. We are not going to take sides with anyone.

“We will welcome the decision of our national headquarters now that they (leaders) have decided to wade in and we hope that it will be resolved soon.” he said.
