Buhari Meets With National Assembly Leaders Over Security

The major point of discussion in the country over the week has been about the killings in plateau state, that saw more than 100 people killed by suspected herdsmen.

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in a meeting with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, over the recent killings.

The meeting is said to be holding inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja and Naija News gathered the meeting was at the instance of the National Assembly leaders.

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, while reacting to the killings stated that the incident shows that Nigeria is not a safe place.

Speaker Dogara also condemned the unfortunate incident, calling on security operatives to fish out the culprits.

President Buhari has already visited Plateau and promised that all perpetrators involved would be brought to justice.
