God Placed Ortom In Power To Contribute To The Growth Of PDP, APC

Tahv Agerzua, the Special Adviser to Governor Samuel Ortom on Media and ICT, has stated that it is not necessary for governorship aspirants under the Peoples Democratic Party in the state to gang up against the Governor or any other governorship aspirant.

While speaking with newsmen in Makurdi, Agerzua, urged them to reckon that power belongs to God through the people hence there was no need for ganging up.

In his statement, he revealed that God had helped the Governor to be in the position to contribute to the growth of PDP and the All Progressives Congress in the state, pointing out that his efforts should be appreciated.

The adviser stated that all governorship aspirants in the party are recongnised by the Governor and all members of the party as major stakeholders and worthy citizens of Benue State who must be duly consulted and appreciated.

While speaking about politics, he said its a game of numbers and the more the happier you are.

He stated that sale of nomination forms by PDP had neither commenced nor closed and that’s a platform for more aspirants to emerge and indicate interest to run on the platform of the party.

He stated that the first person to price an item in the market was not necessarily the one to buy it and that others interested in the same item should not be antagonized.

He contended that Governor Ortom has discharged his first tenure mandate creditably and has the constitutional right to seek re-election like all his elected predecessors did and were reelected.

The adviser insisted that Governor Ortom defected from the APC into the PDP to express his constitutional right of freedom of association and his conviction that his interest and that of Benue people would be better protected in the PDP which has been rebranded for better results.

Mr. Agerzua stated that Governor Ortom is a man who believes in the rule of law and due process, and who is not afraid of contesting according to the rules of the game.
