Olamide Akinbobola, a 24-year-old woman, on Wednesday have been remanded in Kirikiri Prisons by an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stabbing her husband to death in Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

Mrs. O.A. Komolafe, the Chief Magistrate Judge reminded the school teacher who appeared on a charge of murder, in prison pending advice from the State Director of Public Prosecutions.

NAN reports that she ordered that the case file should be duplicated and a copy forwarded to the DPP for advice.

Sergeant. Kehinde Omisakin, the prosecutor had earlier insisted that the woman committed the offence which contravened Section 233 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised) on May 30 at No. 1, Olupebi Abijo St., Gbaga, off Ijede Road, Ikorodu.

Naija News understands that Omisakin accused the suspect of stabbing her husband Dare Akinbobola, 28, on his neck to death with a kitchen knife, an office that attracts death sentence.
