The mother of Nigerian singer, Simi Kosoko, has taken to social media to lament the difficulty in collecting her Permanent Voters Card (PVC).

Naija News reports that there has been outrage online over the challenge of collecting the PVC and some Nigerians blame the officers of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the delay.

In a post shared on Twitter, Simi‘s mother said she applied for a transfer of the PVC, and the stress she was put through to get it was literally like giving her blood in exchange for it.

However, the joy of finally getting the PVC made her forget all the stress she had earlier gone through.

She wrote: “#PVCCollection see the way I held on to my PVC. I did transfer and almost gave blood to collect it today. I had to go to 4 centre via bus to eke nape to okay to taxi. From 10am-3pm but the joy I felt when I got it made up for it. I refused to give up. Go and collect your PVC.”

Fire Guts Mosque, Valuable Properties

Meanwhile, an evening inferno on Tuesday reportedly gutted a Mosque in the Centre Igboro area of Ilorin, Kwara State capital.

Situation reports from the office of the Kwara State Fire Service revealed that some valuable properties were also affected by the fire, though the government agency said its swift intervention saved property estimated at N49.6 million from destruction.

Naija News learnt that the inferno happened at about 6:30 pm yesterday and destroyed property estimated at N16.7 million in four rooms.

The fire incident was reportedly caused by an electric power spark in the area.
