1. 2023 Presidency: Why Buhari Should Hand Over To The South – Pastor Bakare

The Senior Pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly, Tunde Bakare, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to handover to a southerner in 2023.

The cleric told The Sun that the north cannot be left alone to dominate the rest of the nation forever.

2. Shiites Vs Police: Osinbajo Visits Late Precious Owolabi’s Family

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Sunday paid a visit to the parents of late Precious Owolabi.

Naija News had reported that Owolabi, who was a reporter with Channels TV, was killed during a recent clash between members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) also known as Shiites and operatives of the Nigeria Police.

3. Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Reveals Who Sanctioned His ‘Assassination’

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has accused the British High Commissioner of sanctioning his assassination.

Naija News reports that the IPOB leader made this allegation during a live broadcast on Radio Biafra on Saturday, July 27.

4. Dangote To Invest N288 Billion In Milk Production

The President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, is set to invest $800 million (N288 billion) in dairy production in the next three years.

Naija News understands that Dangote will own 50,000 cows by 2019, and produce 500 million litres of milk per year.

5. Shiites Defy Ban, Vow To Continue Protest

A spokesman of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) popularly known as Shiites, has reacted to the labelling of the movement as a ‘terrorist group’ by a Federal High Court in Abuja.

Naija News understands that the Spokesman who was not identified by Reuters, said although the group has not received any formal notice from the court, he said protests calling for the release of the leader, Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky would continue despite odds.

6. South-East Governors In Closed-door Meeting

Governors from the South-east region of Nigeria on Sunday met over the rising insecurity in the geopolitical zone.

Naija News gathered that the meeting is holding at the Enugu State Government House.

7. Nigerian Army Troops Kill 5, Arrest 4 Bandits In Kaduna

Troops of 1 Division of the Nigerian Army have killed five bandits and arrested four others in Chikun and Igabi Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.

Naija News understands that the troops arrested and killed some of the bandits in two separate operations in the state.

8. Zamfara: Probe Yari’s Administration, APC Chieftains Tells Matawalle

Some chieftains of the Zamfara State All Progressives Congress (APC) have called on Governor Bello Matawalle to probe the administration of his predecessor, Abdulaziz Yari.

The group at a meeting in Gusau on Saturday stated that the administration of Yari should be probe over its handling of the security challenges and finances of the state.

9. El-Zakzaky: Leave Shiites, Go After Herdsmen, Miyetti Allah – Ozekhome Tells Buhari

Constitutional lawyer Mike Ozekhome has urged President Muhammadu Buhari go after Miyetti Allah and suspected Fulani herdsmen killing Nigerians.

He made this known while speaking on the move by the federal government to proscribe the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) also known as Shiites.

10. NEF, IPOB, OPC, Afenifere, Others Against Nigeria’s Unity – Balarabe Musa

Second Republic Governor of Kaduna State, Balarabe Musa, has said Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Afenifere and the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) do not want Nigeria to remain united.

Speaking to Vanguard, Musa, a leader of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), described the groups as separatist organizations.
