Governors from the South-east region of Nigeria on Sunday met over the rising insecurity in the geopolitical zone.
Naija News gathered that the meeting is holding at the Enugu State Government House.
Governors of Ebonyi and Abia State, as well as the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, are at the meeting.
However, Governor Emeka Ihedioha is absent at the meeting that would have been his first with South-East Governors’ Forum.
The meeting is expected to review the security situation in the zone and seek ways to improve it.
The meeting would also address the issue of effective community policing as well as the possible establishment of the southeast security trust fund.
