Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has spoken on the growth of her career, saying her years of dedication and hard work have given her the freedom to make choices about the projects and people she works with.

Naija News reports that the actress, in an interview with Morayo Afolabi Brown, said she has reached a point where she no longer needs to seek acceptance from others or go against her values to stay relevant in the entertainment industry.

Abraham explained that her current position came after years of building her name, improving her craft and receiving support from people who believe in her talent.

She said her achievements have allowed her to carefully select the opportunities that align with her goals.

She noted that her decision to be selective about her professional relationships is not a sign of pride but a result of being grateful for how far she has come.

According to her, she prefers to work with people who respect her talent and understand her creative direction.

The actress said: “I can’t kiss anybody’s ass anymore because God has blessed me with a platform where I can decide who I want to work with. No more begging for acceptance.”
