Plateau Govt Names Former General As Special Adviser On Security

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has appointed Maj.-Gen. Bala A. Isandu (Rtd) as Special Adviser on Security in a move aimed at strengthening the state’s security architecture.

Naija News reports that the appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced by the Plateau State Government on Wednesday.

Before his appointment, Isandu served as Senior Special Assistant on Intelligence to the Minister of Defence and also held the position of Director at the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA).

The state government said the appointment forms part of a broader restructuring designed to reinforce Plateau’s security framework, improve the protection of lives and property, and enhance the safety of educational institutions across the state.

During his military career spanning more than three decades, the retired general participated in several local and international security operations and held key intelligence and strategic appointments.

Governor Mutfwang congratulated Isandu and other newly appointed officials, expressing confidence in their professionalism, dedication and wealth of experience.

He urged the new Special Adviser on Security to deploy his expertise in advancing the administration’s vision of a peaceful, secure and prosperous Plateau State.
