Kano Governor Directs Appointees To Join APC
Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has instructed all political appointees serving in his administration who have not yet registered with the All Progressives Congress (APC) to do so without delay as the state begins preparations for the 2027 general elections.
Naija News reports that the governor gave the directive on Saturday during an interactive meeting with elected and appointed government officials at the Coronation Hall of the Government House in Kano.
The development was made known in a statement released by his spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa.
Yusuf said every official serving under his administration should be a registered member of the ruling party and take part in strengthening its structure across Kano State.
According to him, government officials have a duty not only to carry out their responsibilities in office but also to support the growth of the party at the grassroots.
He also said the Kano State Government is fully prepared to work for the victory of the APC in the 2027 elections.
The governor stated that the state would mobilise strong support for President Bola Tinubu’s second-term bid, adding that all party members and political office holders share the responsibility of ensuring success at the polls.
Yusuf said his administration plans to secure victories for the APC in the presidential, governorship, National Assembly, State House of Assembly and local government elections.
“If you are serving in this administration and you have not registered as a member of the APC, you should do so immediately. Every elected and appointed official must actively participate in building and strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 elections,” he said.
