Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, has explained why she is widely known for playing wicked and troublesome characters in movies.

The thespian, in a video shared on her Instagram page, said her intention has always been to draw attention to problems that exist in society rather than promote bad behaviour.

Naija News reports that the veteran stated many of the issues portrayed in films are things that happen in real life but are often ignored or hidden from public discussion.

According to her, she chose to take on such roles because she wanted to bring those realities to the screen and encourage people to confront them.

Ozokwor stated that she was willing to use her acting career to expose social wrongs that many people prefer not to talk about.

She said the characters she portrayed were designed to reflect situations that occur in communities and families, helping viewers understand the consequences of certain actions.

Mama G said she feels proud of the impact she has made through her work and remains grateful to fans who have supported her throughout her career.

She said: “I felt bold to expose the ills of society. These things happen, and nobody wants to expose them, so I’m exposing them. So I’m extremely proud of myself and mama G lovers”.
