Enough Of The Comparisons With My Twin Brother – Peter Okoye

Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has appealed to fans to stop comparing him with his twin brother and former P-Square partner, Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy.

Speaking during an interview on Cool FM, the singer said he wants to focus fully on his solo music career without being distracted by constant comparisons.

According to him, every artiste has a unique path, and he would rather be appreciated for his own work and achievements.

Naija News reports that Mr P stated that he wants to continue building his career on his own terms and be recognized for his individuality.

He maintained that there is no need for people to place him side by side with his brother or any other entertainer because he is focused on doing his own thing and enjoying the rewards of his efforts.

He said: “Stop comparing me with my brother or anyone else. Enough of the comparisons. I want to do me. There is no one like me. I want to do my thing and chop my money.”

The singer also spoke about the impact of P-Square’s reunion on his personal career.

He said his solo career was gaining strong momentum before he reunited with Rudeboy.

According to him, his social media following was growing rapidly at the time, with thousands of new followers joining his Instagram page daily.

Okoye said the pace of that growth slowed after the reunion, affecting the progress he had built as a solo artiste.
