Real Madrid Recruitment Team Pushes For Declan Rice Move

Real Madrid’s recruitment department is reportedly keen on bringing Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice to the Santiago Bernabeu following another outstanding campaign from the England international.

Senior figures within Madrid’s scouting and recruitment structure have been impressed by Declan Rice’s performances since he arrived at Arsenal and believe his leadership, athleticism and technical ability would strengthen any top side.

Rice played a pivotal role as Arsenal ended a 22-year wait for the Premier League title. The midfielder contributed five goals and seven assists across all competitions for the Gunners.

Any move for Rice would be far from straightforward. Arsenal are unlikely to entertain offers for one of their most influential players, having invested £100 million to sign him in 2023. The deal made Rice the joint-most-expensive English footballer in history.

The 27-year-old also showed his commitment to Arsenal in the aftermath of their heartbreaking UEFA Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.

Arsenal fell short in Budapest after losing on penalties to Luis Enrique’s side, who successfully defended their European crown.

The Gunners had made a dream start when Kai Havertz scored inside six minutes, but Ousmane Dembele levelled from the spot in the 65th minute before PSG prevailed in the shootout. Eberechi Eze and Gabriel Magalhaes were unable to convert their penalties.

Despite the disappointment, Arsenal’s players returned to London in the early hours of the morning and joined supporters for the club’s Premier League title parade later that day.

Hundreds of thousands of fans lined the streets of Islington, Highbury and Canonbury as Martin Odegaard and his teammates celebrated from an open-top bus.

Rice, one of Arsenal’s standout performers this season, struck an optimistic tone during the celebrations.

“I love this team, I love this manager,” the England international stated.

“To witness the happiness we can bring to people is incredible.

“Next year we’re coming back for more. Lock in or get locked out.”
