It’s For Life – Seun Kuti Vows Not To Settle Feud With Wizkid

Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has declared his feud with Wizkid will not end, saying that he does not plan to settle the issue.

Naija News reports that the disagreement between the two artistes started after Wizkid made a comment comparing himself to Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. This came after Seun had earlier warned fans to stop placing Wizkid side by side with his late father.

Speaking during the Afro Fusion podcast, Seun Kuti was asked if both of them had moved past the issue.

He responded by making it known that the matter is still unresolved and will remain that way.

According to him, the situation cannot be fixed because he believes his late father was disrespected. He made it clear that once such a line is crossed, there is no chance of repairing the relationship.

The singer added that he has nothing more to say about Wizkid, but maintained that the conflict between them is permanent.

“My beef with Wizkid is on for life. I don’t have anything to say about him but it is on for life. You don’t say things about my dad and then it is fine. There is no coming back from that”, he said.
