Wikki Tourists Appoint Evans Ogenyi As Technical Adviser Ahead Of Matchday 29 Games [Full Fixtures]

Wikki Tourists have confirmed the appointment of Evans Ogenyi as the club’s new technical adviser as the Bauchi side battles to climb out of the lower end of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) table.

Ogenyi was officially unveiled on Friday at the club’s secretariat in Bauchi by chairman Salmanu Abubakar. The appointment follows the departure of former head coach Abdu Makaiba, who stepped down from the role in February after a difficult spell for the team.

Ogenyi arrives with solid experience in the Nigerian top flight. He previously managed four-time NPFL champions Kano Pillars and has also handled Lobi Stars. The coach also served as an assistant manager at Rivers United.

His immediate task is clear. Wikki Tourists have struggled badly for form, managing just two wins in their last 15 league matches. The Bauchi Elephants sit 16th on the table with 32 points from 28 matches and remain locked in a tense relegation battle.

The new coach could take charge as early as this weekend when Wikki host El-Kanemi Warriors in Bauchi.
