Former Paris Saint Germain coach, Christophe Galtier has moved to Qatar as he has been named the manager of the Qatari club, Al-Duhail.

Christophe Galtier is coming in to replace former Chelsea and Argentina striker Hernan Crespo who was sacked as Al-Duhail’s coach on Wednesday, October 11.

Recall that the 57-year-old French tactician, Galtier, last coached French Ligue 1 serial champions, PSG.

He was replaced by Spanish tactician Luis Enrique after helping the side to win one Ligue 1 title.

Before things went sour for him in France, Galtier enjoyed a blissful managerial career in the country and won three French Ligue 1 Manager of the Year awards. He has won the league title once with Lille before repeating the same feat with PSG.

One of the biggest names Galtier will coach at Al-Duhail is former Liverpool, FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Aston Villa star Philippe Coutinho who joined the Qatari club in the last summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, Christophe Galtier is not moving to Qatar with the best of legacies as he is currently under investigation over racism. He allegedly committed the offence while coaching OGC Nice.

Due to this allegation, Galtier has been under the watch of French police since June this year even though he has denied the allegation.

In December this year, the new Al-Duhail coach is expected to stand trial over the allegation even though he has now moved to Qatar.
