Hoodlums Kill UNN Student, Cart Away With Motorcycle

A student of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, Chibuzor Ozioko was reportedly murdered on Wednesday evening, September, 27, 2023, by thugs while operating his motorcycle business to finance his education.

Naija News learnt that the incident happened at Ofuluinu, in the Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, at about 9:30pm.

Ozioko, who is a 300-level student of the philosophy department was said to have struggled with the thugs when they tried to snatch his motorcycle but he was overpowered and his head smashed with hammer.

It was gathered that the thugs also left with his motorcycle after killing him.

A senior lecturer in the department, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed the incident to Vanguard, saying that the university community has been thrown into mourning.

He described the deceased as a dedicated student, regretting that his life has been snuffed in his prime.

Hoodlums Beat 35-Year-Old Bus Driver To Death

Meanwhile, the Plateau State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a commercial bus driver, Fwinbe Thomas, by hoodlums suspected to be motorcyclists, also known as Okada riders.

According to reports, the victim scratched a motorcycle rider with his vehicle while driving home after the close of work on Monday.

Angered by the incident, hoodlums, allegedly chased the driver with their motorcycles and attacked him along Tudun Wada Ring Road in Jos, leading to his death.

Confirming the incident in a statement, the police spokesperson, Alabo Alfred, condemned the killing, saying the deceased sustained multiple injuries on his head.
