The manager of Bayern Munich, Thomas Tuchel, believes that the presence of Harry Kane at the club will improve his teammates’ performances.

After 19 years at Tottenham Hotspur, the 30-year-old English striker joined Bayern for an initial 100 million euros transfer fee plus add-ons.

Kane left Spurs as their all-time top scorer with 280 goals in 435 appearances, winning the Premier League Golden Boot three times with a total of 213 league goals from 320 games.

He has also scored 58 goals for England in international competitions, and was the top scorer in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Harry Kane became Bayern Munich’s summer transfer target after Sadio Mane who joined the club from Liverpool last summer left the club for Al Nassr this summer.

The England international is expected to fill the void which Robert Lewandowski left behind after he left the club for FC Barcelona a season ago.

In his assessment of Kane so far as a Bayern Munich player, coach Thomas Tuchel said, “The Harry Kane effect will not evaporate.

“[His influence] works on so many levels that you cannot realize because you do not witness it daily.

“[He is important] in the changing room, on the pitch, [because of] his character, his professionalism, how hard he trains, [and] how after the defeat he was first on the pitch for training with the reserves.”

Harry Kane made his Bayern Munich debut against RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup last week. Unfortunately, Leipzig won 3-0, depriving him of the opportunity of winning the first major title in his football career.

On Friday, August 18, Harry Kane is expected to make his German Bundesliga debut for Bayern Munich away at Werder Bremen. The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m.

Ahead of the game, coach Thomas Tuchel said Kane’s presence has increased his team’s chances of winning the Bundesliga opener.

“He increases our chances of winning tomorrow massively”, coach Tuchel said.

“We know we will not win every match, but he will make our players better – I am 100% committed [to that]. Everything I see so far confirms this.

“He gives us a lot of options and will get all the time to fully adapt but I am sure he will have his impact tomorrow.”
