Appeal Court Rejects Appeal To Sack Adamawa Governor, Fintiri

The Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has on Thursday sworn in 25 new Commissioners.

Naija News gathered that the commissioners, who were sworn in at the Government House’s Banquet Hall in the state, comprised 22 men and three women.

The governor, after the swearing-in event, told them that the task ahead of them was not easy; therefore, they brace up and be prepared for misrepresentation, persecution, and sabotage in the course of executing their duties.

Fintiri, however, assured them of his total support, even though he warned them against incompetence or corruption.

The governor told the commissioners that as new members of the state’s Executive Council, they are expected to come on board with a winning attitude, ingenuity, and deep insight in handling every situation.

He noted that the hallmark of good governance is service to the people where trust is sacred, there the onus lies on them not to betray the trust of the people.

The governor admonished them on the need to prioritize the welfare of the people while ensuring that the citizenry enjoyed the dividends of democracy.

The new commissioners were also told prioritize value addition to the art of governance because it was the hallmark of the new council.

The governor wished them a successful tenure, praying they receive the guidance, wisdom, and courage they need to do the right thing always.
