PDP Speaks On Fresh Crisis Over National Secretary Position

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated its former Deputy National Women Leader, Hajara Yakubu Wanka, on her appointment as a Commissioner in Bauchi State.

In a statement released on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, the PDP said the appointment of Wanka was a reward for her competence and brilliance.

Naija News earlier reported that Wanka resigned from her position as the PDP Deputy National Women Leader to serve as a commissioner in the Bala Mohammed administration in Bauchi State.

Wanka made this known in her resignation letter addressed to the Acting National Chairman of the party, Ambassador Iliya Damagun and sent to the National Secretariat in Abuja on Monday.

Ologunagba also described Wanka’s appointment as another testament to her selfless service, deep intellect, administrative skills and patriotic roles towards the development of PDP, Bauchi State and the nation at large.

While extolling the technical competence of Hajiya Wanka, the party said it is very proud to have experienced Wanka’s sense of humility in service, commitment to duty and extraordinary capacity for leadership, especially in her position and other assignments given to her by the party.

The party then commended Governor Mohammed for the appointment, noting that such a move reinforces his recognition of merit in choosing the best hands always to assist him in the administration of Bauchi State.
