Adamawa Govt Reviews 24 Hour Curfew, Gives Fresh Directive

The Adamawa State government has reviewed the 24-hour curfew imposed on the state on Sunday in the wake of the breakdown of law and order which saw youths loot shops and warehouses.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri said the curfew followed the looting of government warehouses, the attack of people with machetes, and breaking into business premises to cart away properties.

In a statement on Sunday signed by a statement signed by his spokesman, Humwashi Wonosikou, the Adamawa governor stated that with the curfew imposed, there will be no movement throughout the state.

However, the Governor has now approved a review of the 24-hour curfew and it is now to start from 6pm and last till 6am to enable people to continue with their lawful businesses.
