Osimhen Wins Serie A Highest Goal Scorer Award, Breaks New Record

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is expected to earn €50 million if he joins French giants Paris Saint-Germain in this summer transfer window.

The owner of Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentiis, expects around €200 million bid for Osimhen and feels PSG are the only side that can afford the 24-year-old Nigeria international.

Interestingly, PSG are currently having a contract tussle with their star striker, Kylian Mbappe who does not want to stay at the French club beyond next season even though the French side are pushing for a contract extension.

Due to the contract tussle, PSG have decided to sell him to the highest bidders. And currently, Saudi Pro League side, Al Hilal are the highest bidders. The French side have reportedly accepted their world record €300 million bid.

Hence, PSG are looking at replacing Mbappe with Victor Osimhen who scored 26 goals and assisted five times in 32 league games last season and helped Napoli win the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years.

PSG are reportedly ready to make Osimhen the club’s talisman and one of the highest-paid stars in the league with a whopping €50 million long-term contract if Mbappe accepts Al Hilal’s offer.

Before now, PSG made a €120 million offer for Victor Osimhen but Napoli who are also pushing to extend Osimhen’s contract rejected the offer. If the French side increases the offer to around €200 million, Napoli might be left with no choice but to sell the Nigerian.

However, there are reports that Osimhen who has played for Lille in the French Ligue 1 earlier in his career doesn’t want to return to France anytime soon. Hence, the deal is as complicated as Mbappe moving to Saudi Arabia this summer.
